Our holiday cottages offer quality fittings and furnishings and are tastefully designed with attention to detail, many retaining the old beams and vaulted ceilings. All have been awarded Visit Britain 4 and 5-star gold ratings and sit within five acres of beautiful open gardens and fields with an abundance of wildlife.
Braeburn Barn
A splendid barn conversion with vaulted ceilings, original beams, and exposed brickwork. Its four bedrooms are on the ground floor with an exceptionally spacious open-plan living area on the first floor with views across open countryside and The Courtyard. Its fully-fitted kitchen comes complete with an electric double range cooker.

Cape Cottage is our VisitBritain 5 star Gold Award cottage offering guests with physical disabilities every special feature they need.
Built-in 2011, luxury Cape Cottage cleverly blends the needs and comforts for able and less able guests.

A single-storey sunny courtyard cottage with the old beams and vaulted ceilings of original farm buildings, Russet has an open-plan sitting room with a kitchen/diner. Adjoining Pipkin Cottage and Braeburn Barn, Russet overlooks open countryside and The Courtyard.

The Appleloft
A deceptively spacious cottage created out of a former dairy and apple store. The Appleloft is attached to the rear of The Cottage and The Farmhouse and has a first-floor open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings looking out across the open countryside and the courtyard.

"We had a lovely time at Lower Wood Farm Country Cottages, so much so that while we were there we booked to stay again next Summer, you can’t say better than that!
From the moment we arrived the owners were welcoming and friendly. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch and very much enjoyed. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The pool is lovely, our 5 and 7 year old had lots of fun, the daily private swim slot is great. The play barn is so well equipped with toys for babies through to adults with the pool table etc. We couldn’t fault Lower Wood Farm and the team and can’t wait to go back next year. "Highly recommend Lower Wood Farm cottages definitely have the wow factor! Absolutely everything you need for a fabulous family holiday. It’s very quiet and a perfect safe location. The facilities are brilliant for young children and early teens ,with bikes, footballs, pedal toys and the play barn is like a toy shop. The swimming pool is lovely and warm and well maintained. The cottages are beautifully decorated and equipped with practically everything you need for your stay. The only things we actually needed to buy were cling film, aluminium foil and extra loo rolls! The only small issue was condensation in the bathroom after showering, probably needs a better ventilator installed. Would love to come again"

"This was our 2nd stay at Lower wood farm. Cape cottage is a 5 star accommodation located in beautiful surroundings. Lots to do nearby and on site. The games room has an abundance of toys for all ages, pool table and table tennis. The indoor swimming pool is an added bonus. We will definitely be returning."

"This was a family birthday celebration weekend. For our family of 9 the barn was excellent accommodation with first floor living space being a feature.
The swimming pool/ games room and playing field were all well used since we were fortunate to have wonderful weather for the entire weekend.
The farm offers well thought out/ high quality accommodation and was particularly enjoyed by our grand children (4 and 6 years old)."
